Very nice place, classy! We didn't stay there, but we ate at the restaurant. The food is excellent and the presentation very original. The staff are lovely.
I recently stayed at this boutique hotel and found the staff to be exceptionally polite and kind, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, the rooms were not soundproof, which significantly impacted the quality of sleep during my stay. Additionally, there was no staff present at the reception during checkout, although this did not pose an issue as there were no outstanding bills. Overall, while the experience had its positive aspects, the lack of soundproofing is a considerable drawback.
Pros:• Excellent location with easy access to major tourist spots in Stone Town.• Clean and aesthetically pleasing hotel.• Super friendly staff.• The food at the hotel’s restaurant is phenomenal.• Clean and spacious rooms.Cons:• The bathroom and room have only a partial separation with no door, resulting in zero privacy. Additionally, the bathroom lacks ventilation.- No elevator. Our stay would have been an easy 10/10 if not for the bathroom, which was significantly inconvenient.
It was very nice walking on the streets on stone Town. It holds a lot of history for Tanzania zanzibar, make sure you have your sunscreen with you Vos it's along walk. I went with a tour guide so it was easy for me to navigate while I learn about the small Stone town. It'd old but beautiful, the natives were very friendly.I also visited the market where I got some east African jewelry and spices.Only disadvantage is its a little dirty. They have some lovely Cafe to eat there but I was too scared to eat cos I have a very sensitive stomachIf you don't like walks, cultures and history, stone town is not for youThe traffic to get there was insane, it's advisable to sort out your transportation before coming cos it can be a hassle
A very nice beautiful place ! The best coffee you will ever had in Zanzibar 💙 Nice location and incredible staffDecoration is perfect and also very fast wifiHighly recommended ✨
Awesome location and super friendly staff. The food and coffee were good. The room was modern and clean. The only bad thing is the windows are too thin. We can hear anyone talking from outside the hotel.
Amazing! I loved my stay here for so many reasons. It is a hidden gem for people who want a relaxing spot, service and food is absolutely great and the staff are welcoming and super attentive. Honestly traveling alone as a girl I felt so special and wanted to stay more. Thank you for making Zanzibar special for me.
There are not enough good things that can be said about this hotel. In a renovated old building in stone town, beautiful touches, beautiful rooms, WONDERFUL coffee, exceptional breakfast, the staff working in this hotel are some of the best trained kindest people in hospitality. Thanks Neela
/French will follow/I only had dinner at the Neela Boutique. The hotel is brand new and chic, simple decoration yet charming. They gave us an amuse-bouche, it is not always the same, ours was an avocado toast with grapefruit, surprisingly very good!I had the Chicken Bao Buns with fries and passion fruit juice (favorite drink in Zanzibar) and it was delicious and my family’s meals will be in the pictures. The service was very good, special appreciation to Elizabeth who treated us with so much care, huh! I would 100% recommend anyone visiting Zanzibar to have a meal there.I only dined at the Neela boutique. Amazing hotel. I give it 5 stars because you can't give it 10 stars. I start with the wonderful staff, super nice, attentive, always attentive to everything. The rooms are perfect, super comfortable bed, super comfortable pillows, air conditioning and fan work wonderfully. The lighting is perfect to set to your liking. The shower is 10, the water comes out with a lot of power and the ideal temperature. The breakfasts were wonderful, we could order from the menu or even to taste. I told him that they will prepare me the way I usually have breakfast in Spain, toasted bread and French omelette, with oil and butter and they would serve it cooked just for you. They always have the detail of giving you a hot croissant with walnut. Everything very clean. It also coincided with Valentine's Day and they decorate the restaurant very beautifully and invite you to a few drinks. I also got sick with a fever and a lot of sore throat and they helped me right away, they brought me a thermometer and hot milk with cocoa to my room.We have been so comfortable that we are now in another Hotel in another part of the island and we miss it.
Great hotel, super pleasant and comfortable setting. The staff is friendly, professional and very attentive. Very warm stay with my husband. We will definitely come back.
My husband and I just completed a 3 day stay at the Neela Boutique Hotel in Stone Town. If I could give it a million stars, I would. The service is amazing. Some of the most professional and genuine people I have met, while traveling. The hotel itself is curated with beautiful art and furniture. Our room was so tastefully decorated and the bath products were lovely. The hotel’s Breadfruit restaurant was so delicious. Hats off to the chef. Every meal, from breakfast to lunch to dinner were really good and fresh. If you can, head up to the roof deck for dinner and drinks and a great view. If you ever need help with tours or transportation, the front desk staff are happy to help out. I truly was sad, when I check-out. This place is a real gem!
The rooms have baked goods and my lord they were delicious! The staff are friendly with the kids. DEFINITELY DEFINITELY recommend and DEFINITELY coming back. We stayed in room 10 then we left and came back and stayed in room 8. I recommend a room 10 if your don’t walk up stairs to get your room. Room 8 had a beautiful view.
We stayed at The Neela only for one night and wished we stayed longer. We discovered the hotel by chance while doing research on places to stay in Stonetown. We were very lucky to find this place. What a gem!The experience from interacting with the manager Steve all the way to our stay at the hotel has been nothing short of excellent. Steve was extremely patient with us and responded promptly to all queries. He made arrangements for our transportation from the airport and did everything possible to ensure our experience in Zanzibar was memorable. We cannot thank him enough for everything he did for us.The staff at the hotel are highly trained and very welcoming. Breakfast and coffee were absolutely fantastic. The bed was also very comfortable and beddings of very high quality. The Neela hotel is definitely the product of a labour of love and charm. I am counting down the days to when I will be back. If you are looking for a place to stay in Stonetown, stay at the Neela, you will not regret it!
I had a chance to tour the rooms right after the opening which were really special and said I’d come back to dine in the cafe and try the specialty coffee. It was the best in Stone town and the best I’ve had in Tanzania. I was not disappointed. I ordered the lobster brekkie with a special request of hollandaise on the side and the executive chef lance was kind enough to stop by for a warm welcome. It was an absolute treat and hands down the best breakfast I’ve had in Stone Town so far. The freshly made brioche/potato bread was perfectly executed. They have a lovely staff and great service. A new favorite spot. I’ll definitely be back.
Definitely the best hotel in Stone Town. The food is incredible, the coffee excellent. The staff are friendly and efficient. It's clear there has been a lot of attention to detail, from the training of staff to the set up of the rooms. A calm oasis in the lively city of Stone Town, the rooms are very comfortable with everything you need.
Hello Team! For our honeymoon with my wife, everything was sumptuous! The staff are lovely and Chef Jey is a culinary artist!Don't miss the opportunity to sleep there because it is right in the center of Stent Town! The beach is 120 meters away on foot! It feels like a haven of peace where joy and love reign! Thanks again to everyone! We kiss you !V & L
